- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup grated Gruyre cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup grated white cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh thyme leaves for garnish optional
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 375F 190C
In a bowl, combine the thinly sliced potatoes and melted butter
Season with salt and pepper, then toss to coat evenly
Grease a muffin tin with butter or cooking spray
Layer the potato slices into each muffin cup, creating individual potato stacks
Press down gently to compact them
Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and golden brown on top
Remove the muffin tin from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes
Carefully remove each potato stack from the muffin tin and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper
Sprinkle a generous amount of the three cheeses Gruyre, Parmesan, and white cheddar over each potato stack
Return the baking sheet to the oven and broil for 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and lightly browned
Garnish with fresh thyme leaves, if desired
Serve the potato stack grilled cheese immediately, and enjoy the delicate and elegant flavors
