Ingredients:
- 1 cup 2 sticks unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup caramel bits
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 375F 190C and line baking sheets with parchment paper
In a saucepan, melt 1 cup of butter over medium heat
Continue cooking, stirring frequently, until the butter turns golden brown and has a nutty aroma
Remove from heat and let it cool slightly
In a large mixing bowl, combine the browned butter, granulated sugar, and light brown sugar
Mix until well combined
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition
Stir in the vanilla extract
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined
Fold in the semisweet chocolate chips and caramel bits
Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart
Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown
Remove from the oven and allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely
Once the cookies are completely cooled, enjoy the delicious combination of brown butter, chocolate, and caramel flavors
