Indulge in a healthier twist on pizza with this Slim Chicken & Spinach Pizza. Packed with lean protein and fresh greens, its a guilt-free delight
Ingredients:
- 1 whole wheat pizza crust
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 1 cup cooked chicken breast, shredded
- 1 cup fresh spinach leaves
- 1/2 cup low-fat mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil cooking spray
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 425F 220C
Place the pizza crust on a baking sheet or pizza stone
Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the crust, leaving a small border for the crust
Evenly distribute the shredded chicken, fresh spinach, red onion, and minced garlic over the sauce
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the other toppings
Sprinkle dried oregano, red pepper flakes if desired, salt, and pepper over the pizza
Lightly spray the pizza with olive oil cooking spray to help it brown
Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is crispy and the cheese is bubbly and golden brown
Remove from the oven, let it cool slightly, and slice into portions
