Country Ham and Onion Quiche Baked in a Sheet Pan

A tasty quiche recipe that you can make on a sheet pan with country ham, sauted onions, and Swiss cheese. Its great for brunch or as a meal any time of the day.

Ingredients:

  • 1 sheet of frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 cup diced country ham
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup grated Swiss cheese
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • Fresh chives, for garnish

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 375F 190C and line a sheet pan with parchment paper

Roll out the thawed puff pastry on the prepared sheet pan, making sure it covers the bottom and slightly goes up the sides

Trim any excess pastry if necessary

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the diced country ham until its slightly browned and crispy, about 5 minutes

Remove from heat and set aside

In the same skillet, add the finely chopped onion and saut until it becomes translucent, about 3-4 minutes

Remove from heat and set aside

Evenly sprinkle the cooked country ham and sauted onions over the puff pastry

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, salt, black pepper, and ground nutmeg until well combined

Pour the egg mixture over the ham and onions in the sheet pan

Sprinkle the grated Swiss cheese over the top of the quiche

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the quiche is set and the edges of the pastry are golden brown

Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before cutting into squares

Garnish with fresh chives, and serve warm
