Enjoy this tasty mix of fettuccine pasta and a creamy tomato and basil sauce. Great for a cozy dinner during the week or a special event.
Ingredients:
- 300g fettuccine pasta
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can 400g crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
Instructions:
Follow the directions on the package to cook fettuccine until it is al dente
Remove the water and set it aside
Warm up the olive oil in a big pan over medium-low heat
For about one minute, until the garlic smells good, add the minced garlic
Add the crushed tomatoes and cook for 5 minutes to let the flavors mix
Turn down the heat and add the heavy cream
Mix things together well
Mix in the grated Parmesan cheese and keep stirring until the sauce is smooth and the cheese melts
Add pepper and salt to taste
When you add the cooked fettuccine to the pan, gently toss it so that the sauce covers all of it
Take it off the heat and add some chopped fresh basil leaves on top before serving
